An article in the spring 2012 issue of IIENetworker magazine examines how higher education institutions can foster faculty engagement in internationalization through amending tenure codes and other employment policies. Among the solutions discussed are: allow flexibility for individual departments; grant leave time; prioritize international engagement at the hiring stage; and provide opportunities for non-tenure-track faculty.
