In light of this recent act of violence on an American student, the statistics surrounding safety abroad show that it proves safer than studying at home. IIE President and CEO Allan Goodman adds additional expertise to the conversation around how students can keep safe in their new environment and make the most of their experience. 

As demand for higher education grows across the Middle East and North Africa region, many local education systems are struggling to keep pace, which has contributed to a culture of study abroad in many MENA markets.
 
This journal helps U.S. students going abroad to better articulate their experiences and goals and provide an action plan to better leverage their experiences into opportunities.
