Help Syrian Students Return Safely to a Classroom

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

We learn every day from our work on higher education in emergencies that tens of thousands of students and scholars from Syria and other countries will be unable to access education due to conflict, political instability, discrimination and many other reasons. Since 2012, the IIE Syria Consortium for Higher Education in Crisis has mobilized over $6 million in scholarship assistance for Syrian students and scholars whose lives and academic work have been threatened due to the conflict. Now more than ever, we need your help to do more.

Please consider a gift today to IIE’s Camps to Campus programs so that as many Syrian students as possible can safely return to a classroom. Through the innovative Camps to Campus model, we are providing grants to fund full tuition and transportation scholarships for Syrian university students in the Za’atari camp in Jordan – one of the world’s largest refugee camps – to complete their education at nearby universities. Please help us extend the opportunity of an education to even more students.

Donate now to help a refugee student complete their higher education.
