Three megatrends are disrupting the auto industry: autonomous vehicles, mobility as a service and electrification.

In 2011, recognizing the increasing cost of post secondary education, NECA developed a scholarship program to assist its members. The program is self-funding through money raised at dinner meetings and the golf outing. Since then, it has awarded 17, $1,000  scholarships for a total of $17,000. In 2018, in recognition of Tom Rando's contributions to the industry and NECA, and the many monetary contributions to the program made in his memory, we will award one of the $1,000 scholarships in his honor each year.

An automated-car wash company has substantially changed plans for its proposed car wash, in order to address concerns of its East Memphis neighbors.

A new Dolphin Auto Spa car wash is under construction in East Naples, Fla. The 4,900-square-foot wash features a longer tunnel and more equipment to wash, wax shine and dry cars. The business' exterior features stylized dolphins leaping from glass waves running the length of the building.
