Last week International Carwash Association reached out to representatives at Farmers Insurance to ask them to stop airing a commercial that depicted car washes in a negative light.
This week, we're happy to report that our outreach was met with understanding. Farmers Insurance has agreed to stop airing the commercial depicting a car getting destroyed after going through an automated car wash following an especially dirty vehicle.

There’s a hot-pink car wash in the NGV Gardens. It’s called Haven’t you always wanted to run through all that foam at the car lovers? And you can – all summer long. The lurid car wash is inspired by the architecture of Melbourne’s outer suburbs and, in particular, one car wash in Blackburn. It’s the second design to win the NGV’s 2016 Architecture Commission (the first was a canopy of polypropylene fuchsia blooms by John Wardle) and will be open to the public for free from now until April 2017.
