This year’s The Car Wash Show in Nashville was one for the record books. In what would be the largest Show in 10 years, nearly 8,000 attendees walked the trade show floor to see the products and services from more than 400 exhibitors.


It lived up to its reputation as the largest car wash convention and trade show.

Crew Carwash, a long-standing central Indiana car wash organization, announced today that it is donating $31,563 to Riley Children’s Foundation to help fund the recruitment of leading experts to provide mothers and babies comprehensive care at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health.

How can car rental operators save water within the vehicle washing and rinsing process? Washing with an automatic car wash is more water efficient than washing by hand. If you use the hose to wash a car, the hose releases 11 gallons of water per minute, according to Jack Jackson, president of Awash Systems Corp.

Mike’s Carwash partnered for the 7th straight year with Big Brothers Big Sisters (totaling over $300,000 in 7 years) to raise money and awareness for youth mentoring programs in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky.  During the one-day event, half the proceeds of every Ultimate wash, a $20 value, and every Works wash, a $16 value, was donated to local Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies to help offset costs for youth mentoring in the communities where the fundraisers were held.

Comprehensive Connections is launching a new car wash and greenhouse at 1200 Veterans Memorial Drive. The business venture is designed to provide work for the social service agency's clients with developmental disabilities. The greenhouse is now open and the hand-wash car wash, called Car Connections, is scheduled to open by the end of the month.
