V2X, or vehicle-to-something, is a growing field in the auto industry, and might include bicycle-to-vehicle (B2V) communication soon, with the goal of reducing the chances of the two colliding. Three automakers - Ford, GM and Subaru - are part of the B2V board, along with bike companies Specialized and Trek Bicycle. With B2V, the bike or scooter would send out a standard Basic Safety Message (BSM) signal to automobiles, while also receiving signals from those cars and infrastructure components like street lights.

Splash Car Wash, headquartered in Milford, Conn., announced the recent acquisitions of Eco Car Wash with two express locations in Plattsburgh, N.Y., and Williston, Vt., and Westport Wash & Wax, a full service location in Westport, Conn. Since late 2018, Splash has been accelerating its acquisition and development programs since partnering with Palladin Consumer Retail Partners.
Driven Brands Car Wash North America announced the acquisition of four SuperSonic Express Car Wash locations in Mississippi and Alabama. The acquired car washes are located in Columbus and Starkville, Miss., and Tuscaloosa, Ala. With this acquisition, Driven Brands Car Wash North America grows to 17 locations in Mississippi, operating as Car Wash USA Express, and 36 locations in Alabama, operating as Goo-Goo Car Wash.
