Connected vehicles and digital payments may be reaching an intersection, as the combination of these once disparate “future” technologies appears to be shifting in-car payments into high gear. Several auto manufacturers have announced plans to enable financial transactions directly from vehicles via cellular and other wireless connections, allowing motorists to purchase everything from fuel to takeout food to car washes without the need to remove a smartphone from their pocket.

Flashing lights, freaky music and a full cast of scary characters are all on the agenda at the car wash, which opened its Haunted Car Wash, Tunnel of Terror OC last week.

Some good, clean, scary fun is part of Pony Express Carwash's Halloween activities at its Chubbuck, Idaho, location. Creep creatures are lurking in the suds and its haunted tunnel of terror is full of spooky adventrues. The kid-friendly version runs until dusk, when it is kicked up a notch until 10 p.m.
