Using algorithms, tech companies are helping insurers speed up the process after an accident, make it more accurate and keep estimators out of the field — a plus during a pandemic.
In October 2021, 31 university computer science and engineering teams will race against each other in the Indy Autonomous Challenge — but the cars will not have drivers sitting behind the wheel. Instead, onboard computer systems will take their place, outfitted with deep-learning software enabling the vehicles to drive themselves — at speeds up to 200 mph.

Family-owned Bush Car Wash in Washington has been sold to an Arizona-based chain, Mister Car Wash. Mister Car Wash acquired all six Bush locations in Tri-Cities and a seventh in Walla Walla. The acquisition brings the number of Washington Mister Car Wash locations to 13, and it has more than 300 nationwide.
ModWash, an express car wash operator, announced the appointment of John (JT) Thomson as Chief Executive Officer. Thomson comes from GO Car Wash and replaces the company’s interim CEO Hans Weger.

Kwik Kar Wash Detail and Lube said they are running this special to recognize educators' " countless hours of work to ensure students receive a quality education."
WhiteWater Express Car Wash headquartered in Houston has acquired the Dallas-Fort Worth-based LandShark Express Car Wash. The LandShark acquisition brings WhiteWater to eight car washes in the Dallas-Fort Worth market with several future sites in development. In addition, WhiteWater has four additional greenfield sites scheduled to open by the end of the year as well as an acquisition under contract for a total of 22 locations by the end of 2020.
