Zoom Express Car Washes, which was forced to close March 28, took advantage of Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine offering a dispute resolution commission, where businesses deemed nonessential by one local health department, but essential by another, could appeal the claim. After going through the process, they were reclassified as an essential business and were able to reopen on April 13 with strict guidelines.
Tommy’s Express Car Wash announced the grand opening of four new franchise locations in May 2020. Located in Cedar Rapids, IA; Largo, FL; Leander, TX; and Lincoln, NE, these independently owned and operated locations bring the total number of Tommy’s Express Car Wash facilities in operation to 39, with over 230 future sites currently in development in the United States and abroad.

Royal Suds Carwash and Laundry opened for business in Prairie City, Iowa. The car wash features two automatic bays and one oversized manual bay along with a laundry facility. There are also two vacuums, one air freshener machine and a shampooing/spot remover machine.
Caliber Car Wash opened a new location on June 2 in Mableton, Ga., and is giving away free car washes for the first few days. Plus, vacuums, air fresheners, cleaners and detailing air are complimentary with every wash. This is the company’s fifth location in the Southeast.
