International Carwash Association is proud to join the newly launched America’s Recovery Fund Coalition (ARFC), an organization of more than 60 organizations advocating for a grant-based federal assistance program to power the resilience of American enterprise. ARFC includes organizations representing more than 30 business sectors that together employ 58 million Americans and comprise more than 45 percent of the private sector workforce.

During COVID-19, car wash operators are standing out because they are making one thing really clear to everyone around them: They not only come together to help each other out, they do all they can to help out their communities and people in need. Do you have a meanful story to share about what your car wash has done to help out -- either helping out staff, helping the community or helping each other?

A survey conducted by Bradley Corp. found that 70% of Americans are “extremely” or “very concerned” about contracting coronavirus, particularly Millennials and Baby Boomers. According to the survey, 60% said that their preference for touchless hand-washing fixtures has risen a great deal since the pandemic.

Researchers in Switzerland have found a new organic light emitting diode (OLED) material that could scale the technology up to inexpensively light entire rooms for the first time. The results come from a new arrangement of copper electrons, CuPCP, that replaces more costly precious metal diodes (PHOLEDs).

FINS of AAA has opened its first Wilmington, N.C., location, making the car wash its fifth in total. FINS Car Wash is an automatic car wash with a state-of-the-art, low-stress loading system and heated blowers. They are offering free Top Washes to all healthcare workers and first responders through May 8. 

New teleconferencing technology has led many employers to migrate their interview process online, and the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to full-time remote work in general have only sped up this transition. While there are some people out there who are wary of moving away from in-person job interviews, video interviewing does have its benefits if you keep these best practices in mind.
