ICA news
Last week, International Carwash Association (ICA) joined nine other nonprofit trade associations from across the car care industry in petitioning Majority and Minority Leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives for immediate aid to small businesses and their employees. Today, the coalition expanded its appeal to include the National Governors Association as a way of reaching state executive branches.

Facebook announced a new $100 million program to help small businesses impacted by COVID-19. The grants will be available for up to 30,000 eligible small businesses in over 30 countries. That would be an average of $3,333 per business.

EverWash has been ranked on the a16z Marketplace 100, a ranking of the largest and fastest growing consumer-facing marketplace startups and private companies. The Philadelphia-based startup was "the most surprising company of the top five fastest-growers" on the list, and 66th out of the 100 companies listed in the overall index. These rankings were put together by Andreessen Horowitz, a California-based venture capital firm, and based on data from Second Measure, a firm that analyzes billions of purchases to track consumer behavior and relative sales across 4,500 merchants.

Mister Car Wash announced a major milestone of surpassing 1 million active members in its Unlimited Wash Club. The car wash has 326 locations, delivers more than 50 million clean cars every year and provides employment to over 7,500 team members in 21 states.

Husband-and-wife team, Ryan and Beth Frank, in Converse. Ind., wanted to have a safe place in which their teenage daughter Luci, who has autism, and other people with special needs could work. So they acquired an old car wash and renovated it into what is now known as Luci’s Carwash and Drive-Thru Convenience Store.
