The second year of the Executive Management Institute is now accepting applications. Taught by executive education faculty, this immersive week of strategic business, financial, and leadership training connects an intimate group of car washers as they build a life-long network of like-minded professionals. All participants receive an official certificate from the University of Notre Dame upon completion.

ICA news
After weeks of careful monitoring of the ongoing spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Board of Directors of International Carwash Association (ICA) today voted unanimously to cancel The Car Wash Show™ 2020, scheduled to be held April 6-8 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Options for rescheduling the event for later dates are being considered.
ICA has been committed to observing the recommendations put forth by public health officials since the beginning of this unprecedented situation. The latest guidance, released by the White House Coronavirus Task Force, broadened the recommendations to consider postponing meetings and limiting attendance for any American. Therefore, the current environment makes it impossible for us to hold a successful event for our attendees and exhibitors.

Four brands stand at the top of the annual Consumer Reports car issue. Three of them, Porsche, Genesis, and Subaru all received brand rankings of 80 or more. Two vehicles earned the highest overall scores: the Toyota Avalon family sedan and the Kia Telluride SUV that won several car/truck of the year awards.

Using capacitive sensing, which is a more straightforward approach than measuring steering input,.the 2021 E-Class Mercedes-Benz can now tell if the driver's hands are on the wheel. Cadillac is also incorporating capacitive steering wheels and complementary cameras in some of its models.

Bubble's Foam Farm will be coming to the city of Oconomowoc, Wisc., later this year, and is already touting its water saving plans as well as its other perks. There will be free vacuums along with towels and windshield cleaner and air fresheners. Also, reduced water consumption was incorporated into the design and the usage plans.

Tommy's Express car wash held the grand opening for its new Schofield, Wisc., location during the first week of March. The car wash has been up and running since January. Another Tommy's Express is under construction in Wausau.
