Mr. Klean Car Wash – formerly known as Gusher Car Wash – is now open in Bartlesville, Okla. There is new equipment and new LED lighting as you go through the tunnel. Owner Willie Short said they have also added new soaps and waxes and are now offering a monthly membership.

Waterloo City Council members voted to approve a contract with a Fargo, N.D., based developer for construction of a new Tommy’s Express Car Wash in Waterloo, Iowa. The Hardee's restaurant previously at this site has already been demolished to make way for the project. The city is helping the project by selling roadside right-of-way.

Sail Thru touts itself as an environmentally friendly and fast car wash that offers a hybrid between do-it-yourself and full service. Customers pull in, pay, then drive into a tunnel where vehicles are automatically washed, waxed and dried.

Silverstar Car Wash in Sioux Falls, S.D., debuted a Winter Wonder Wash this year, where folks could experience a synchronized music and light show while getting their cars washed. A dollar is being donated to the Silverstar Community Foundation for every car that goes through the wash.
