This December in San Antonio, International Carwash Association will hold a unique networking and learning event for the best minds in car wash supplier organizations—their CEOs, presidents, and principals.
The event will begin with an interactive seminar, presented by author, speaker, and customer experience pioneer Lior Arussy. The session will focus on adding value by creating more customer engagement, and will help suppliers inspire world-class customer service at all levels of their organizations.

Change is coming to the automotive industry at breakneck speed with Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric (C.A.S.E.) technologies. By 2030, there will be 700 million connected cars, 90 million autonomous vehicles, and 250 million electric and hybrid vehicles on the roads, and 600 million subscribers to various mobility services. The message is unmistakable: automakers will need to realign around these emerging dynamics.

Transportation services giant Penske Corp. is backing a new car-sharing service called Penske Dash that launched Tuesday in Washington, D.C. and Arlington, Va. Penske Dash gives customers access to a fleet of Volkswagen Jetta SE vehicles that can be rented by the minute, hour or day through the app.

Mammoth Holdings, LLC ("Mammoth"), an Atlanta-based conveyor car wash operator, has acquired Wiggy Wash, LLC, a four unit conveyor car wash operator in Utah’s Utah Valley area. Wiggy Wash’s founders made a significant equity investment in Mammoth and will have executive and developmental roles with the company.

Goo Goo Express was recognized by Newsweek magazine for being one of American’s Best Customer Service Brands for 2020. The distinction was based on an independent survey of more than 20,000 U.S. customers conducted by global research firm Statista, which ranked retailers and service providers in 160 categories overall.

Owned by Norman and Janice Campbell, the drive-through tunnel car wash takes its name from Norman, who has carried the nickname “Boogie” since he was a baby. The couple already operates successful car washes in Orange and Bridge City.

The former Southern Splash Car Wash, located in Scott, La., is getting some much-needed renovations and upgrades. Some of the more noticeable updates include new vacuum canopies, concrete work done in the drive-thru, and renovations to the facade.

Yet it is frequently overlooked when filling executive roles, and often lacking from C-suites in general. In a Hay Group study of 17,000 individuals, only four percent of male and 19 percent of female executives were seen as self-aware leaders.
