Ford announced that other businesses are able to integrate their apps with Ford and Lincoln connected vehicles to offer additional new services. One of the first will be car washing services. FordPass and Lincoln Way customers can now buy car washes from Spiffy, Rub A Dub and Sparkl wherever these services are available.

The third edition of the annual driverless-car contest consisted of a countryside off-road contest, an urban block race and a highway challenge. There was also an optional Intelligent Extreme Challenge that assessed participants in areas such as route planning and ethical-dilemma handling.

Mammoth Holdings, LLC, an Atlanta-based express conveyor car wash operator, has acquired FLCW, LLC d/b/a Finish Line Car Wash, an eight unit express conveyor car wash operator with locations in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Illinois. Finish Line’s founders invested a significant portion of their proceeds from the sale of Finish Line into Mammoth and will have important ongoing roles with the company.

Splash Car Wash, headquartered in Greenwich, Conn. today announced the acquisition of Wash Co. in Middletown, New York. This expands the footprint to 20 locations in New York and Connecticut and three in China.

Mister Car Wash continues its Michigan expansion, with the acquisition of Soapy Joe’s Auto Wash, two express locations, in Lansing, 6008 W Saginaw Highway and Grand Ledge, 940 Saginaw Highway. The acquisition gives Mister Car Wash a total of 25 locations in the Michigan market.
