Here are some highlights and upcoming events that District 6 would like to share.

South Brevard SHRM (SBSHRM)

This month, SBSHRM had the pleasure of welcoming our SHRM Field Services Director for the Eastern region, Gloria Sinclair Miller. Gloria provided great insight on the Future of Work & HR: Promoting Business Success in a Changing Global Workplace. This session dived into the business skills needed to become a strong contributor to the “bottom line”. In addition, the Future of Work was defined and how it impacted HR along with ways to leverage technology and key tools to address the new realities of the workplace and workforce priorities moving forward. Overall, participants walked away with how to manage the work, the worker, and the workplace while fulfilling business goals more effectively for the future.

Tune in to their next meeting event - Emotional Intelligence for Managers on November 12th. Visit www.sbshrm.org for more information on registering for this event.
