Awareness of unsafe working conditions and failure to act on this knowledge has led to the Project Manager being charged with four counts of criminal negligence causing death and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm. The construction company involved was also charged $750,000 plus a victim surcharge, the first time in Ontario that a company has been held responsible for a worker's death. Read more here
