Ontario Arbitrators Address Off-Duty Social Media Comments of 2 Firefighters - Michael Kennedy, Stephanie Jeronimo and Julia Nano, Canadian Employment Law Today

Two Toronto firefighters recently caught making derogatory comments on Twitter received different penalties for their actions. Discriminatory off-duty conduct may be viewed as harmful to an employer's reputation and as a result be subject to dismissal or other disciplinary actions. Read more here
