University of Winnipeg PACE Resumania Event

The University of Winnipeg Professional, Applied and Continuing Education invites you to participate in an upcoming Resumania event for full-time Human Resource Management students. Our students value the opportunity to network with established professionals in the human resource sector in the local business community and tap into your industry perspective.

Resumania is based on the speed-mentoring concept. Resumania helps PACE students gain a wider perspective on the screening criteria employers use to short-list candidates for interviews or flag candidates for the discard pile. It provides students with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with recognized industry professionals and get feedback on their resumes. Students will move round-robin across 15 stations, where they will have 10 minutes with each professional.  At the end of the evening, the students should obtain feedback from approximately 8-10 different industry professionals.

You will be asked to critique each students’ resumes. Critiques should reflect the recruitment practices of your organization.  As well, we would ask you to provide feedback on the strengths and weakness from individual your perspectives.

The Resumania event also includes a networking component with a Mix & Mingle session at the event of the event.

Please consider the following information to determine your availability.

Details:
Date: Thursday November 05, 2015
