Transport Canada has refused to offer an extension to the Jan. 31, 2019 deadline to implement CRM training in accordance with AC 700-042. HAC has argued that the in-force date is simply too soon, given that CRM instructors are hard-to-come-by; even if they take the HAC train-the-trainers course in YVR, they still have to develop a course of their own, and have it approved by the inspector, and get their COM approved – and even then, some Transport Canada inspectors haven’t been trained to approve courses, yet.

On a brighter note, the e-learning course is now avavailable from TC.
