AGC Houston Hosts 31st Annual BBQ Cook-Off
On March 31 - April 1, 2023, the Houston commercial construction industry came together for AGC Houston's 31st Annual BBQ Cook-Off. This year’s event raised $25,000 for Camp Hope, a nonprofit organization that provides a caring and positive environment for soldiers, veterans, and their families while they receive treatment for combat-related PTSD. Instead, we encourage you to attend the Fall Protection Alliance event on 4/28 at the Houston Area Safety Council in Deer Park to kick off our (AGC’s) fall prevention stand down campaign. AGC Houston is proud to partner with the The Region VI OSHA Education Center at The University of Texas at Arlington. The OSHA Education Center at The University of Texas at Arlington is the top-ranked OSHA Training Institute Education Center in the country. AGC Houston is not an OSHA Training Institute Education Center, but serves as a Host-Training Organization for The University of Texas at Arlington OSHA Training Institute Education Center.
NO-COST one-day fall prevention training program based on OSHA standards and best practices. Course is offered in both English and Spanish. Topics will cover fall protection statistics, OSHA standards for fall protection, how to identify fall hazards, selection and criteria of fall protection systems and equipment, and fall protection training requirements. Students will be provided training materials and digital certificate of attendance.
