AGC Houston, AGC of America and Tellepsen Host COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for Construction WorkersOver 200 construction workers from dozens of companies, and their families, received their first COVID-19 vaccination free of charge at a clinic hosted by Tellepsen, AGC Houston and AGC of America on April 21, 2021. The vaccine clinic is part of a nationwide construction industry vaccination push being organized by the association to protect workers and local communities from the coronavirus. Many thanks to Maryanne Henn, Tellepsen HR Director, and her team for leading the charge in our partnership and for organizing the clinic. Since the beginning of the pandemic, AGC has worked tirelessly to make safety a priority and tag our industry as “essential.” Hosting a clinic to vaccinate our workforce and their families is just another way to make sure our industry remains committed to its people and finishes strong. Message from the President/CEO
All the Best, Tamara
When I first met Tamara Hancock, our conversations often included something about her daughter Julie as a Pre-K student at St. Rose of Lima School. This year, Julie graduates from Texas A&M University. Needless to say, Tamara and I have been working together for a long time. During those twenty plus years, she has always stepped up – quite successfully I might add – in whichever role she was asked to take the lead. Now, with the opportunity to lead the American Subcontractors Association – Houston chapter as Executive Director, Tamara will soon be departing AGC Houston. As a mainstay at the Chapter, and more than a right-hand to me, her departure is bittersweet. Along with the AGC staff, I am excited for her with this new opportunity; but she will nonetheless be missed! We wish her only the best in her new role. And congratulations to Julie as well!
