AGC Houston's 100th Anniversary: Celebrating a Century of Member Value and Advocacy Triumphs

Last week, we gathered here at the AGC Office to kickoff our 100th Anniversary celebration with a little birthday party of sorts. We heard from both Pat Kiley and Jerry Nevlud about the history of this great organization, and some of the tremendous impacts we have had on our members over the years. AGC has been providing value for its members in a variety of different ways over the last 100 years, and we want to use this 100th year to showcase some of those areas. So, each month for the rest of this year will highlight a different element/value/program/service of the AGC and what we do for our members. To start things off, the month of June is going to focus on the Chapter’s advocacy efforts, which are most visible at our State Capitol in Austin, through the great work of the AGC Texas Building Branch. Keep an eye on our publications this month (and beyond) for more updates from the 2023 Texas Legislative Session, as well as for some stories from our members about how they have been able to see first hand the benefits of those efforts. As always, reach out to our staff if you are interested in getting involved more with any of our different programs and services, and remember that the more you get engaged with the AGC the more value you will get out of it!
