Panel Delivers Positive Lessons Learned for Women in Construction

More than 100 women in construction — representing all levels in the field, incuding university students — shared their stories of success, endurance, hardships and what it is like to be a female in a male-dominated profession at AGC Houston's first Women In Construction panel discussion.

On Thursday, June 13, 2019, Lana Coble,Taliah McGowan, Marilyn Greeley,  Lynn Terry, Randee Herrin, Ashley Rhodes, and Angela Cotie, shared their careers' lessons learned in the commercial construction industry. Moderated by Abbey Roberson, VP of Planning, Texas Medical Center, the panel discussions brought frank and inspiring stories related to life-work balance  in an open arena.

What's It Like To Be A Woman In The Field?

On November 27, 2018, an interactive focus group of women met at TDIndustries, drawing  more than 50 attendees — from young project engineers to seasoned professionals in construction. During the program, the attendees answered questions about their career,  issues they face as a woman in the construction industry and personal information.
