AGC Houston’s Vets in Construction group wrapped up Military Appreciation Month with our first annual Military May Shootout May 30.The event was held at Boyert Shooting Center in Katy and consisted of a friendly shooting competition, simulator exercises, recreational shooting and a unique networking opportunity for military veterans currently working or seeking employment in commercial construction.

More than 100 people participated, making it the largest private event the shooting center has ever had! "Our Vets in Construction group formed a year ago as a subset of our Safety Committee. It has become an active networking forum for ex-military folks in our industry. Providing this opportunity for veterans in construction is our way of thanking them for their service to our country and to our industry," says Kim Mason, Senior Director of Safety Services at AGC Houston.
