Congratulations to AGC Houston members Fretz Construction Company and Linbeck Group, LLC, on each garnering a Texas Building Branch 2013 Outstanding Construction Award, which were presented June 11 during the AGC Texas Building Branch Convention at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa in Bastrop. Fretz Construction Company received an award for First Baptist Pasadena and Linbeck Group, LLC, for Houston Methodist San Jacinto Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Fretz Construction Company built the new campus of First Baptist Church Pasadena, which included not only a 2,500 seat sanctuary, but also a chapel (constructed with laminated and exposed wood in complete contrast to the look of the sanctuary), a prayer room, administration wing, choir rehearsal space, bride’s and groom’s spaces, and a 25,000-square-foot commons that serves as the connecting piece between old and new.

Linbeck Group, LLC, designed and built the 13,500 square-foot Houston Methodist San Jacinto Ambulatory Surgery Center, replacing an older facility in Baytown.
