COMMUNICATIONS
Are you or your firm active on Twitter? Are you using it as a tool to engage with clients, colleagues, friends and legislators? If so, we invite you to connect with GTLA and your fellow members today.

We have created a list of all GTLA members (that we have found so far!) on Twitter. In order to view the list and "follow" those already on it, simply visit: https://twitter.com/GeorgiaTLA/gtla-members/members. And while you're there, be sure to "follow" us, too, at https://twitter.com/GeorgiaTLA

GRASSROOTS REPORT

As your GTLA Grassroots Coordinator and also a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, I have witnessed first-hand the profound effect that proactive citizen involvement can have on each action taken underneath the Gold Dome. I have also seen, both from a GTLA and a legislative perspective, how important the PAC is to continuing the protection of the Civil Justice System. At the Capitol, your legislative team’s efforts have truly been second-to-none.

That is why I am reaching out to encourage each of our 2,000+ members to take on an active role in both your Grassroots/Local TLAs as well as the Civil Justice PAC. These two entities are not mutually exclusive; rather, they are successful because of the positive impact that they have when coupled together.

GTLA now has 25 Local TLA Chapters around the state, and that number is expected to continue an upward trend as we re-emphasize the value of their existence. Check out the newly-developed Interactive TLA Map to find a chapter near you, or contact me at any time at mgravley@gtla.org if you are interested in bringing a new TLA to your area of Georgia.

GTLA’s efforts will not be successful, though, without a thriving and strongly-supported PAC. Through the Civil Justice PAC, you are able to help elect and re-elect pro-Civil Justice Legislators. The PAC is like a large bullhorn. It absolutely magnifies your voice. GTLA has a righteous message and a politically sound message. A strong and vibrant PAC enables you to make that voice – that message – resonate all over this great state. Without it, you are just whistling in the wind. I hope you will join your fellow GTLA members and do all you can to contribute to the Civil Justice PAC. You can even contribute online by going to http://www.civiljusticepac.com/. Please do that today. Thank you for all you already do and for doing what you can today to strengthen the Civil Justice PAC of GTLA!

For more information on how you can make a difference for GTLA through your support of the Civil Justice PAC, please visit www.civiljusticepac.com, or contact PAC Consultant Michele Michaels at michele@govethics.org or (404) 492-8878.
