CIVIL JUSTICE PAC
I am honored to be the current chair of the Civil Justice PAC. I have been on the PAC Board since 2006 and can tell you without hesitation that our Political Action Committee has changed and adapted over the past six years to be one of the most effective PACs in the state, even though we do so with far less funding than those organizations that are trying to destroy Georgia’s Civil Justice system. For those of you who currently contribute to the Civil Justice PAC – thank you. Without your support, we would not be nearly as effective. For those of you who don’t currently contribute to the PAC, please consider the following:

The Civil Justice PAC is a bi-partisan, single issue organization.
The sole mission of the Civil Justice PAC is to protect the interests of Georgia’s families, consumers, and businesses by supporting lawmakers and candidates -- regardless of party affiliation -- who will protect and fight for the Civil Justice System.

Ideally, every member of GTLA would contribute to the PAC at some level. Right now, only about 50 percent of GTLA’s members do so. During the past election cycle, contributors have donated approximately $500,000 to the PAC and have done so individually at amounts ranging from $100-$3,000 per year.  If we could reach the ideal – if 100 percent of GTLA members would contribute just $500 per year – the Civil Justice PAC would raise more than double that amount. To put it into perspective, $500 a year is less than $10 per week – about the same cost as one lunch. If each of us would contribute just $10 per week to the Civil Justice PAC – the only PAC in Georgia dedicated to protecting the Civil Justice System – we would be the most powerful PAC in the entire state.

With elections right around the corner, we have tremendous opportunities and significant threats. I ask you today to begin, re-new, increase, or give a special "election year pledge" to the PAC. The important part is not how much you give, but that we all join together, make the decision to contribute, and share this responsibility. Please visit www.civiljusticepac.com to give online or mail a check to Civil Justice PAC, Inc. of GTLA at 101 Marietta Street, Suite 3350, Atlanta, GA 30303.

Sincerely,
Andy Childers
