With over 150 top-notch speakers, our multi-track Annual Convention continues to be one of the premier GTLA events of the year.  We’ll have sessions on everything from Whistleblower Cases to the New Evidence Code and much more.  As usual, there will also be plenty of opportunities to catch up with your friends and colleagues.

On Thursday evening, Butler, Wooten & Fryhofer, LLP is generously sponsoring a Welcome Reception on the Terrace at the Loews.  Later that night, Brandon Smith and the New Lawyers Division will host their infamous late night party at Front Page News.  Finally, to conclude two full days of education and fun, we’ll party to the smooth sounds of Yacht Rock Revue at the President’s Gala where we will honor Geoff Pope for his stellar work as GTLA’s President for the past year.

Look for the complete printed brochure in your mailbox soon!!!

Thank you to our Annual Convention Sponsors and Exhibitors!  Want to see your name listed?  Please contact Sheila Thomsen or 404.522.8487 ext.24

We hope to see you there!

GTLA members trekked out to Lake Tahoe for this year’s Ski-LE seminar co-chaired by Laura Reis and Brandon Smith of the New Lawyers Division. A great time was had by all.

In addition to great CLE sessions, snow conditions were perfect!  And those who did not ski enjoyed the nearby casinos, shopping, and other snow activities.

We also hosted two adaptive skiers, David Carter and Trey Bradbury, who participated in the new Alpine Adaptive Scholarship Program sponsored by the Law Offices of Jeffrey S. Gilbert and Teamjsglaw.com PC in cooperation with GTLA and Shepherd Center.  For more information and pictures, view the Facebook page.

Thank you to our sponsors: AAJ, Discovery Litigation Services, Empire Settlement Funding, and Forge Consulting & Regional Medical Group.

GRASSROOTS REPORT
GTLA's Lawyer of the Day program was started in 2011 by GTLA Past President Michael Warshauer.  The purpose of the program is to utilize the impressive legal knowledge of GTLA members and provide an opportunity to assist the GTLA Legislative Team.

Our members' participation is vital to our legislative success and your involvement also speaks volumes about your commitment to the Civil Justice System.

As a Lawyer of the Day at the Capitol, you can expect to participate in the following:

-Read and review bills and resolutions;
-Review print media, blogs, and online articles;
-Attend legislative committee meetings and hearings;
-Monitor the House/Senate floor debate from the gallery; and
-Meet with your legislators.

Watch the new video featuring GTLA Grassroots Director Micah Gravley and GTLA members discussing what it was like to be a Lawyer of the Day during the 2012 Legislative Session.
