The 2015 GSAE Annual Meeting & Silent Auction is a great way to show your support and help raise funds for GSAE's educational programming. Our goal is to have 100% participation in the event. Your contributions are what enable GSAE to keep the high level, quality programming we all enjoy at our meetings and conferences.

"This year, I'll be at GSAE's Silent Auction with the purse strings loosened for 2 reasons:1) The auction enables GSAE to provide a high level of education to its members, including myself; 2) what a wonderful way to experience the hotels, restaurants, golf courses, spas, charm, and entertainment that so many of our wonderful members' properties have to offer!" - Angela Holland, CAE, Georgia Association of Convenience Stores and satisfied silent auction award winner.

We're asking all GSAE members and friends for support of the Silent Auction this year. Any donation of any size by our members will be most appreciated and welcomed - we can even combine your donation with another item to create a complete package! By helping to support our local community, you are helping to support GSAE.
Your support is critical to our goal of 100% participation. Donate now to the 2015 GSAE Annual Meeting Silent Auction. Please complete and send the form with your donation to the GSAE office by Friday, May 15, 2015. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to email Wendy or call the office at (404) 577-7850.

Visit Savannah has launched a new program called "Show Us Your Badge," which highlights businesses in Savannah that offer a discount to meeting and convention attendees during their stay. "The 'Show Us Your Badge' promotion is yet another way for Savannah Area Chamber members to increase traffic to their businesses. A program like this can really help them because many of our conventions tend to happen in the early part of the week when traffic is slower versus on the busy weekends," said Kim Rodenberg, Visit Savannah destination services manager. For more information, contact Taylor Castillejo at 912.644.6429 orTCastillejo@VisitSavannah.com.

We think we missed reminding you of some new features at Columbus, GA Whitewater: Take flight on the Blue Heron Adventure in Columbus, Georgia! Fly across the Chattahoochee River on the only 1,200 foot dual-zip line that connects two states, reaching speeds up to 30+mph. The fun doesn't end there! The Blue Heron Aerial Course offers a treetop experience with 10 obstacles for the young ones. The adventure continues as you cruise in the motorized Canyon Raft back to Georgia. Experience all of this and more at Columbus, GA Whitewater.
Though much has changed aesthetically at The Partridge Inn, in Augusta, Georgia, the renovations aren't finished. The second phase of construction at the historic Walton Way hotel will begin May 4. Once completed, it will leave the bar, restaurant and front lobby entirely revamped with modern furnishings and a new concept, designed with the millennial age group in mind. "The look is really going to be definitely something more up-to-date but still maintaining its charm as a historic hotel," said Greg Winey, the president of Atlanta-based NorthPointe Hospitality Management, which oversees the property. "The restaurant is a little more edgy. The bar is a little bit more edgy." Source: The Augusta Chronicle online
