GSAE's Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) offer one of the best resources for association executives and professionals. These self-directed groups of GSAE members focus on a particular area and delve into various topics within that area.

 

The 2024 Nominating Committee includes at-large GSAE association executive members in good standing in addition to GSAE Past Chair Mike Pennington, CAE; Chair Val Smith, CAE; and Chair Elect Amy Kane, CAE, MBA. Serving this year: Becca Colbert, CMPJay Markwalter, LEC, TMPDawn Morton-Rias, Ed. D., PA-C, ICE-CCP, FACHE; Monica Smith, CMP, CASE, CDME; and Lori K. Spear, CAE.

Four seats for individual association member directors and one seat for a corporate supplier (hospitality) director will be available for two-year terms, beginning January 1, 2024. Nominations will also be accepted for the one-year Treasurer position for both the Society and the Foundation Board of Trustees.

If you or someone you know would like to be considered, please watch your email for nomination information or complete the online application (self-nomination or nominate someone else). All candidates must be members in good standing. Deadline for nominations is September 29, 2023.

Brunswick, Georgia. The Association Executive is responsible for the overall management and operation of the Golden Isles Association of Realtors and the Golden Isles Multiple Listing Service. This includes developing and implementing strategic plans, managing budgets, overseeing staff, and representing the organizations to the public. The Association Executive must be a skilled leader and communicator with a strong understanding of each organization's mission and goals.
 
Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Industrial Asset Management Council (IAMC) is the premiere manufacturing and industrial real estate trade association for professionals in the U.S. and abroad. The Director of Professional Education and Research is a key staff position that creates and manages the core professional development offerings for IAMC members across multi-day conferences, ½-day lunch & learn-style events, and webinar sessions throughout the year. The Director is charged with identifying current and upcoming trends, best practices and topics of interest to inform an annual programming plan.
 
Atlanta, Georgia. The Communications Director administrates the Association Management System and all associated member data; is responsible for website maintenance, keeping all web pages up-to-date; writes and disseminates all newsletters, alerts, legal bulletins, press releases, etc.; provides Board support: works with a volunteer Chair to conduct the annual Awards program; maintains all collateral and staff exhibit booth at conferences, interfaces with meeting planners and volunteers to develop all Conference and Summit-related communications; works with volunteers and legal counsel to publish all White Papers/Guidelines and Books.

The Financial Director serves as the financial strategic partner with the CEO, to develop and execute a strategic financial plan that ensures that Association goals are met, and the overall integrity of financial information and systems are maintained. This position oversees financial planning, budgeting, contract evaluation, profit and loss analysis, for the organization, as well as timely financial reporting and compliance. This position includes all aspects of bookkeeping and reporting.
 
Atlanta, Georgia. This professional, management level position is responsible for programs and events for this over 300-member not-for-profit membership organization. The Council for Quality Growth is a trade association representing the growth and development industry in the metro Atlanta region. The ideal candidate has a proven event production marketing track record with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a detail-oriented manner in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
 
Atlanta, Georgia. The Examinations Manager is responsible for meeting both the strategic and day-to-day tactical needs of the Credentialing department as it pertains to exam administration and development. He/she will help to manage and develop a recognized portfolio of professional arboriculture and urban forestry credentials to improve tree care practices and enhance the professional image of credential holders. The Examinations Manager meets the needs of the ISA current and future credential holders by managing the development and delivery of credentialing program examinations that provide value and benefits to arborists and affiliated professionals.
 
Atlanta, Georgia. This position is essential for helping to ensure that the integrity of all ISA credentials is maintained by adhering to proper departmental policies and procedures designed to uphold our ANSI/ISO17024:2012 accreditation. This position manages credentialing customer service needs and provides strategic input and support for standardized and excellent service and support for candidates and credential holders. This position is responsible for escalations concerning credentialing topics and working with the Customer Service Center to ensure service excellence and that credentialing-related policies, procedures, and processes are documented and strictly followed.
