  Black Takes Role as NCCPA Chair
Past GSAE president Beverly Black, MHSA, CAE is beginning her annual term as Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), located in Johns Creek, GA. Black is a Public Member of the Board and has served on it for five years.
     
  Priger Receives 4th Quarter MPI Georgia Shining Star Award
Congratulations to Kevin Priger, Hilton Atlanta Northeast, who received MPI Georgia’s latest quarterly Shining Star award, recognizing volunteer dedication and hard work, during the annual holiday luncheon at the Georgia Aquarium on December 8.

 

     
  Pate Named to Peach Bowl Hall of Fame
William Pate dedicated 20 years of service to the Bowl's executive committee. After joining the marketing committee in 1996, he then went on to be named the chair of the committee for two years from 1998-2000. Pate, the president and CEO of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), was later named Peach Bowl, Inc.'s chairman in 2001, and became the first to serve a three-year term in the organization's history.   Long time GSAE member Roy Bowen has been named President Emeritus, Georgia Association of Manufacturers. We look forward to welcoming Lloyd Avram to the GSAE community soon.
  Blair Stegall, formerly of Hyatt Place + Hyatt House Charleston Historic District, is National Sales Manager at Explore Charleston, host city of the 2023 GSAE Annual Meeting. Blair's terrritory will include the Midwest.

The GSAE Board of Directors adopted a "welcome mat" statement in December. We are thankful to our colleagues at FSAE and TSAE for sharing their statements and processes as we articulate GSAE's committment to being a nurturing, supportive place for association professionals and suppliers in the southeast.

Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia Dental Association is seeking a Senior Controller. The selected candidate will be a member of the senior management team and is responsible for the financial, budgeting, investment, and accounting operations of the association, its subsidiaries and affiliated organizations. The position reports to the COO, manages the accounting department/staff, and is responsible for the preparation and production of financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, investments, and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of association member relations or customer service experience.
