Authentically Social: Putting Connection at the Core of Your Digital Strategy
Featuring Corey Perlman, Impact Social Media
March 3, 2022
2:00 pm EST

GSAE is excited to partner with Personify on a NEW thought leadership webinar series for the mission-minded. Personify and our fellow SAEs will be hosting quarterly webinars, and we hope you’ll join us.

As our industry continues to navigate a complex and ever-changing world of virtual, in-person and hybrid events, it's critical that we are candid and transparent in our digital communication. In this thought-provoking presentation, Corey will challenge the status-quo of posting 'just to get something out there' and, instead, will talk about building a content plan around connection, community and collaboration. Creating a more Authentically Social digital strategy will help build trust, credibility and loyalty with members for years to come.  Are you ready to become Authentically Social?

As a reminder:

  1. GSAE annual dues are sent via gsae@gsae.memberclicks.net beginning in November. Always check that "from" line if you have any doubts.
  2. GSAE does not contract with third-party companies to sell our mailing list or member data. Please disregard any such fraudulent company solicitations. If you would like to rent GSAE's mailing list legitimately, you may access the contract on our forms page. We do not release your email address as part of the mailing list rental agreement - ever, per Board policy.
  3. GSAE staff or leaders will never ask you to transfer funds to a staffer, volunteer leader, or another member for any reason. If one of our leaders is actually traveling and runs into a spot of bother, they will contact a family member - not us, and not you.
  4. While we may ask you to log in to your profile to register for an event or update your contact information, we will not ask you to send your social security number, bank account information, or credit card information directly to us. Electronic and paper invoices will direct you to our secure PCI-compliant payment page or to our fax number.
  5. If you have any questions about the validity of a message from GSAE - from staff, our officers, our website or our enewsletter provider - please don't hesitate to contact us directly.

News Briefs

A colleague of ours from KSAE, Amy Farmer, is a doctoral candidate at the University of Missouri - Columbia. Her dissertation examines the motivations of association professionals to sit for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) credential.

  • The survey's target audience is association professionals who have chosen to take the CAE, regardless of whether they passed, including those preparing to take it.
  • The survey is 100% anonymous and voluntary.
  • The questions are focused on the motivations of adult learners and are not specific to the CAE or professional certification, but they are a trusted method of determining adult learner motivation.
  • The survey is quick, only taking 4 minutes for participants to complete.
  • Take the survey now.

Questions? Feel free to reach out to Amy at ajg6b5@mail.missouri.edu. I received a copy of her dissertation proposal and think it’ll be helpful to our community in the future. She’s willing to share results with us once completed. – WWK
