The Georgia Association of Convenience Stores (GACS) was awarded a 2019 Power of A Summit Award for their program "Convenience Stores Against Trafficking." Congratulations to Sharon Shuford, CAE, CTC, CITE, LEED GA, Jennie Nesspor, CAE, Linda Lawrence and Angela Holland, CAE!

The Power of A Summit Award is ASAE’s highest honor for associations that go above and beyond their everyday mission to undertake initiatives that benefit America and the world. GACS was one of only six associations to win this award in 2019. The winners will be formally recognized at the 20th Anniversary Power of A-Summit Awards Dinner October 2, at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC.

Earning the CAE credential is the hallmark of a committed association professional. It helps drive professional self-confidence, opens doors, creates connections, and offers widespread value and recognition for candidates. Congratulations to GSAE's newest CAEs.

Associations Now asked their audience about mentors they admire, and two GSAE members were named!

Christina Martin, Director, Membership Forums, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, named past president of GSAE Beverly Black, CAE, saying: "She coached me through the transition from pharmacy practice to association management, so that within the first 30 days, I was not only an ASAE member but also connected with the young professionals community."
Callie Walker, Senior Inbound Marketing Specialist, MemberClicks, named Mark Sedgley, saying: "He lives out servant leadership better than anyone I’ve ever seen. He puts employees first and empowers us to do our jobs to the best of our ability."

Our association management software provider and technology partner, MemberClicks, just renamed their AMS product lines. In 2017, MemberClicks acquired WebLink - another membership management software company - and it got a tad confusing (for the employees, especially) to have both the company AND one of their products named MemberClicks.

To simplify and clarify things, the original MemberClicks product is now being called Oasis, while WebLink product is now Atlas. To learn more about Oasis, Atlas, or MemberClicks’ other suite of products (learning management system, job board, review panel, and conference app), check out memberclicks.com.
