Please help us support the crucial role the food bank plays in our community. A list of suggested items is available online, but the food bank always needs the following: peanut butter, canned tuna, beans, soups, fruits & vegetables, dried pastas (esp. mac & cheese), 100% fruit juice, and whole grain, low sugar cereals. You may make a monetary donation here. Donors will be entered in a drawing to win a $50 retail gift card.

Missy B. Wilson, Director of Sales, Athens Convention & Visitors Bureau, and her husband Will are pleased to announce the arrival of their newest son, Anson Andrew Wilson. He was born on October 24, weighing  7lbs., 5oz. and 21.5 in. long. Missy and Will, big brother Brantley, and big sisters Georgianna and Emma are doing well. Tuesday meetings are 8-9:15 p.m. and provide 1 CAE credit hour per meeting. Remaining fall cohort date is November 21. Winter/Spring cohort dates will begin in February 2018.
 
Luncheons in February, April, July, September and November are $39 for all GSAE members. The 2018 Annual Meeting is in Miramar Beach, FL (Sandestin) May 30-June 1. Registration fee for the first association executive attendee – $399; corporate supplier exhibit and sponsor packages range from $659-$2,909; additional attendees from the same organization – $299 each; room rates at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort – $155 run of house (before fees).
 
$149 members: This survey is conducted every two years by a group of state, local and regional societies of association executives with support from Whorton Marketing & Research.
  • 1,315 associations across the U.S. participated in this year’s survey, including members and non-members of 26 SAEs.
  • Participation included 11 South, 8 Northeast, 8 Midwest, and 5 West states and areas.
  • Each SAE report features its own data, or for its region.
  • The national study compares compensation across states for 39 positions.
  • Meets IRS requirements for third party data.
