Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions is Macon's only canoe, kayak and inner tube rental service for the Ocmulgee River. Join us from 9am -12 pm to experience the river’s beauty and enjoy a fantastic view of Macon as you wind through town. Transportation provided from the Macon Marriott at 9:00 am. $40.

The Elevanta Board of Directors has named Christy Williams, EMBA, MPH as Chief Executive Officer. Elevanta, a professional services firm, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Franchisee Association (NFA), an association of Burger King® franchisees. Prior to her new role, Williams focused her time with Elevanta on researching, developing and implementing programs and services for franchisees to increase their bottom lines. She developed national programs for franchisees, including payroll processing and accounting solutions, and she was instrumental in developing a self-funded health care program for franchisees and their employees. The Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS® (ACBR) congratulates Kristin Lamb, RCE on 28 years of dedicated service to the membership and the real estate community! Kristin was hired by ACBR directly out of college and is retiring from the organization as CEO. She has represented the organization with distinction, serving as the first ever appointed Commercial Executive to the Association Executive Committee of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR); Chairman of the NAR Commercial Leadership Forum; and the Chairman of the Association Executive Committee of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR). Brenda Yuhas, PMP, LEED GA, Vice President of Member Services, is retiring from the Associated Builders and Contractors of Georgia, Inc., effective February 24. She has been with ABC Georgia since January, 2010. During the past 25 years, she has been involved in the construction industry as a project manager for both general building construction and alternative fuels. She plans to travel (a lot) in her free time - congratulations, Brenda!
 
Abby Hicks, Director of Sales for the Hotel Indigo-Athens, is a true all-star partner, not only to the Athens CVB but to her hotel's clients and guests as well. Abby is a long-time Athenian, who is an invaluable source of ideas that produce inspired gatherings. Hotel Indigo-Athens was a host hotel for the 2016 GSAE Annual Meeting, and Abby created and led the popular "Meetings Safari" breakout session. Read an interview with Abby here.

MSAE’s CMP Virtual Prep Course begins with orientation on March 6 for the August 2017 Exam. For over a decade, MSAE has successfully helped candidates achieve their CMP designation through a classroom setting. We are now offering a five-month Spring Course Online and are ready to help meeting planners nationally! 
 
 
   
The deadline to apply for the 2017-2019 class of the Diversity Executive Leadership Program (DELP) is Monday, March 20, 2017. DELP is an accelerated leadership program of education, mentoring and volunteer service in the association community. Members of a racial/ethnic minority group, lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender, or who have a disability are encouraged to apply.
