IRS Releases 2018 Withholding Tables to Reflect Tax Changes

The Internal Revenue Service has released 2018 tax withholding tables to reflect changes from tax reform. Employers should begin using the new rates as soon as possible, but not later than February 15, 2018. The new tables reflect the increased standard deduction, repealed personal exemptions and adjusted tax rates included in the 2017 tax law. Individuals may see increases in their paychecks as soon as February, the agency said in a news release. More information is available in the Withholding Tables Frequently Asked Questions.
