Hayward C. Cox, Jr., three time president for Meeting Professionals International Georgia Chapter, passed away September 11, 2014. Hayward served as an inspiration to countless meeting professionals and paved the way to excellence in the meetings and events industry. Nineteen years ago, GaMPI honored Hayward by creating a Phoenix Award bearing his name. The Hayward C. Cox, Jr., CMP Continuing Quality Award is awarded annually to a long-standing member who has committed at least five years of service to GaMPI and contributed significantly to the Chapter.
