Supply Chain Digest Opportunities are huge, a new report from Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation (MAPI) says, but manufacturers are just getting started. The report found that just 5 percent of MAPI member companies have mapped where AI opportunities exist and developed a clear strategy for sourcing the data that AI requires. And surprisingly, 56 percent of companies currently have no plans to do so.

AGMA Gain a solid and fundamental understanding of gear geometry, types and arrangements and design principles. Starting with the basic definitions of gears, conjugate motion and the Laws of Gearing, learn the tools needed to understand the inter-relation and coordinated motion operating within gear pairs and multi-gear trains. Basic gear system design process and gear measurement and inspection techniques will also be explained. In addition, the fundamentals of understanding the step-wise process of working through the iterative design process required to generate a gear pair will be reviewed. Learn the steps and issues involved in design refinement and some manufacturing considerations. An explanation of basic gear measurement techniques, how measurement equipment and test machines implement these techniques and how to interpret the results from these basic measurements will also be covered.

New Atlas Unlike regular computers where data is stored in binary bits as 0 or 1, the “qubits” in quantum computers can exist as both at the same time. Stranger still, this information can be effectively “teleported” over any distance. Now, scientists from Austria and China have managed to create photons that exist as 0,1 and 2 simultaneously and teleported these complex quantum states.
