Manufacturing.net German imports dropped sharply in June over the previous month, outpacing a drop in exports and widening the country's trade surplus. The Federal Statistical Office said Tuesday exports fell 2.8 percent in June over May, while exports dropped 4.5 percent. The trade surplus widened to 21.2 billion euros ($25 billion) from May's 20.3 billion euros.

Mining.com The Northern China import price of 62 percent Fe content ore jumped 1.6 percent on Thursday to exchange hands for $76.10 per dry metric ton, according to data supplied by The Steel Index. It's the highest price since early April and the steelmaking raw material is now trading 43.6 percent up from its 2017 lows struck in June.
