CNBCEuro zone manufacturing activity missed forecasts and slowed in November, with German activity contracting -- hitting hopes of a pick-up in the bloc's largest economy. Markit's euro zone manufacturing PMI was nearly flat at 50.1 in November, missing analysts' forecasts of 50.4. This was a fall from the 50.6 recorded in October.

The Moscow TimesAs a falling ruble and stagnant economy continue to drive down truck sales in Russia, Swedish auto manufacturer Volvo last week expanded its truck facility to include cabin production in hopes of a market revival. Volvo Trucks Russia now has a facility that at full capacity will be capable of assembling 15,000 heavy truck cabins a year — five times the company's current truck sales.
