Between 2016 and 2017, the global sales of industrial robots rose by 29 percent from 294,300 unites to 380,550. The rise in sales were driven by China, which saw a growth in industrial robot sales of 58 percent.
Harley-Davidson says it plans to move production of motorcycles it sells in Europe overseas in response to growing trade friction between the United States and Europe. European officials last week imposed stiff tariffs on a wide range of U.S.-made goods sold within the European Union.

General Electric Co. agreed to sell its industrial gas-engine business to advent International for $3.25 billion, bolstering Chief Executive Officer John Flannery’s plan to shed assets and reshape the beleaguered manufacturer.
