Following the release of the Additive Manufacturing Safety Certification for power handling, UL, a global safety science company, and Tooling U-SME, a leading provider of manufacturing training solutions, have finalized an agreement to create a single source for training and professional additive manufacturing certification.
Blockchain could help manufacturers solve the problem of copycat parts, according to HP’s chief technology officer Shane Wall. While the technology is in the nascent stages for industrial uses, HP is currently doing trials and prototyping to test out the technology, he told Forbes during a conversation at the tech giant’s Palo Alto, Calif., campus.
