Agriculture is undergoing a revolution. IoT sensors are making it easier to grow more crops with less resources, while drones and robots are bringing more automation to the industry. While you wouldn’t traditionally label tractor maker John Deere as a technology company, the 181-year-old manufacturer is evolving into exactly that.
For many years, AGMA has been hosting a technical conference to highlight the newest emerging technology in the gear industry. The Fall Technical Meeting (FTM) is the top place to learn about the latest research in the gear industry from the researchers directly.
The U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory unveiled Summit as the world’s most powerful and smartest scientific supercomputer. With a peak performance of 200,000 trillion calculations per second, Summit will be eight times more powerful than America’s current top-ranked system.

Machine tool orders posted mixed results in April, falling on a monthly basis but increasing compared with a year earlier.
Orders totaled $392.97 million in April, the Association for Manufacturing Technology said in a monthly report.
