HomeAid Atlanta

HomeAid Atlanta partnered with Bank of America employees on Friday, December 12th to assemble and donate 500 HomeAid CareKits, or hygiene kits, for people currently experiencing homelessness in Atlanta.

Five Bank of America volunteers assembled the kits, which were donated to Gateway Center, located in downtown Atlanta. Gateway Center serves as the "gateway" to care and services that help individuals move out of homelessness. HomeAid CareKits contain shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, granola bar, deodorant and other self-care items.

This was HomeAid Atlanta’s second CareKit project with Bank of America. In July of this year, volunteers assembled 500 CareKits that were donated to Intown Collaborative Ministries’ Emergency Needs Food Pantry.

Bank of America is a national supporter of HomeAid America and its chapters. Because of the bank’s donations, several HomeAid chapters have had the opportunity to partner with local Bank of America volunteers to create HomeAid CareKits in 2014. CareKits are donated to local groups serving the homeless and shared with those in need.

Thank you to our wonderful Bank of America volunteers!
