Austin Hackney and Samantha Hill will give a preview of the upcoming 2020 legislative agenda.

The GAHBA's Professional Women in Building Council hosted its final event of 2019 last week at 103 West. The dinner featured a panel of leading women from the local building industry, including Carrie Roeger of Windsong Properties, Pam Sessions of Hedgewood Homes, Virginia Van Lear of Level Craft Construction, and Kerry White of HomeQuest Properties. Thank you to all the panelists for participating and to Susie Proffitt of Atlanta's Best New Homes TV for serving as moderator.
Several GAHBA members attended the annual Atlanta Regional Commission State of the Region breakfast last week at the Georgia World Congress Center. More than 1,500 business and community leaders were there to hear about some of the key issues currently facing the Atlanta region.
The GAHBA's Remodelers Council finished up the year with a wine tasting and networking event at the Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery in Buckhead. Guests heard from NAHB's National Remodelers Council Chairman Tim Ellis and enjoyed free wine tastings from Italian winemaker De’Ricci. Stay tuned for more great events with the Remodelers Council in 2020!
On November 1, HomeAid Atlanta held its last Care Day of the year at Solomon's Temple with volunteers from the Community Associations Institute - Georgia Chapter (CAI-Georgia). HomeAid completed 16 Care Days in 2019, engaging 500 volunteers and making a major impact at homeless shelter facilities throughout metro Atlanta. HomeAid would like to thank members of the GAHBA for their support of this year’s Care Days through their volunteerism, financial contributions, and material donations!
