Last week the GAHBA's Sales and Marketing Council held its annual Realtor Bus Tour. Realtors were treated to a tour of the Marietta/Roswell area, including stops at communities by Edward Andrews Homes, Patrick Malloy Communities, Ashton Woods Homes, Stanley Martin Homes and the Kerley Family Homes Design Studio.
 
  
The GAHBA's Sales & Marketing Council is now accepting entries for the 39th Annual OBIE Awards! The awards gala, which recognizes outstanding achievement in building, marketing, remodeling, and personal achievement, will be held Oct. 26. Just by entering this prestigious program, companies can gain industry recognition, attract opportunities and will be able to display awards for potential homebuyers to see.
 
Deadline to Enter: Friday, April 12
 
Cost to Enter: $300 per entry, $275 for 3 or more entries, $500 for Community of the Year
 
The Kennesaw State University NAHB Student Chapter will be hosting a mini career fair for students and builders to interact and discuss potential internships and full-time opportunities. The career fair will be held on Thursday, March 28, from 5-7 p.m. on the Kennesaw State Marietta Campus. The chapter is currently seeking builders and other companies who would like to participate.

The association is excited to announce the revision of the GAHBA contracts! Frank Brown of Weissman Attorneys at Law has rewritten the contracts, and the 2018 version is now available for purchase through the online bookstore. When you purchase the 2018 GAHBA contracts online, you will receive a link to download the contract files.

 
The contracts are FREE for GAHBA members, $12 for members of other HBAs and $22 for non-members.

 
We are asking that you stop using any old versions of the contracts and only use the 2018 contracts.

Starting April 1, you can drop off donations of diapers, baby wipes, baby food, and formula at the GAHBA office in support of HomeAid Atlanta’s 2019 Essentials Drive! Look for the drop-off display in the lobby.
 
Since 2002, the Essentials Drive has collected over 1.2 million items for metro-area nonprofits serving homeless and low-income mothers and infants. In 2018 alone, the Essentials Drive garnered 222,447 items valued at over $50,000! This success is due in large part to generous support and donations from GAHBA members!
