Corbett and Grace Lunsford run the Building Performance Workshop, which specializes in building forensics and testing the physics and chemistry dynamics of residential construction. They recently created Home Diagnosis, the first-ever series on measured home performance and building science, which airs on public television nationwide. Corbett is an active member of the GAHBA, teaching classes and serving on the Education Committee.

    The GAHBA's Young Professionals Group hosted an "Inside Look" at Mercedes-Benz Stadium last week, where guests enjoyed networking and a behind-the-scenes tour. Thanks to all who attended and to YPG for another great event!
The Kennesaw State University NAHB Student Chapter will be hosting a mini career fair for students and builders to interact and discuss potential internship and full-time opportunities. The career fair will be held on Thursday, March 28, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on the Kennesaw State Marietta Campus. The chapter is currently seeking builders and other companies who would like to participate.

This annual spring showcase of new homes across metro Atlanta will take place in late April to early May. The event features homes and townhomes in a variety of styles, locations and price points and is free, self-guided and open to the public.

The Forsyth County Commission will vote on residential design standards on April 4. (Click here to see the latest version of the design standards.) The GAHBA encourages all members to contact the Forsyth County Commission and let them know you support private property rights and oppose design standards.

The association is excited to announce the revision of the GAHBA contracts! Frank Brown of Weissman Attorneys at Law has rewritten the contracts, and the 2018 version is now available for purchase through the online bookstore. When you purchase the 2018 GAHBA contracts online, you will receive a link to download the contract files.

 
The contracts are FREE for GAHBA members, $12 for members of other HBAs and $22 for non-members.

 
We are asking that you stop using any old versions of the contracts and only use the 2018 contracts.

The volunteers made needed improvements at Our House, whose mission is to break the chains of homelessness by providing quality early childhood education and comprehensive support services for families experiencing homelessness.
