Forsyth County has released their latest version of proposed residential design standards
The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. today on the residential design standards. There are sections that concern builders, and GAHBA members are encouraged to review the latest version, provide feedback, and attend the public hearing.

The GAHBA's newly revitalized Remodelers Council held a kick-off social last week at Sports & Social at The Battery. Under its new leadership the council will be hosting social and educational events throughout the year to promote networking and career growth among the association's remodeler members. Last week the Professional Women in Building and Sales and Marketing Councils held the GAHBA's first ever joint council social, held at Vino Venue. Attendees enjoyed snacks and wine tastings, while they kicked off 2019 at this sold-out event. SMC will be hosting its first program meeting of the year on February 7, while PWB's next event will be February 13.  
Sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, the Parade of Homes is back and better than ever! This annual spring showcase of new homes across metro Atlanta will take place in late April to early May. The event features homes and townhomes in a variety of styles, locations and price points and is free, self-guided and open to the public.

The association is excited to announce the revision of the GAHBA contracts! Frank Brown of Weissman Attorneys at Law has rewritten the contracts, and the 2018 version is now available for purchase through the online bookstore. When you purchase the 2018 GAHBA contracts online, you will receive a link to download the contract files.

The contracts are FREE for GAHBA members, $12 for members of other HBAs, and $22 for non-members.

We are asking that you stop using any old versions of the contracts and only use the 2018 contracts.
